Choose the right floor for the kitchen – it is very important for any housewife. Naturally, the material is selected individually in each case: it is necessary to take into account the accuracy of the household, their habits, the number of kitchen objects and the layout of the room.
Among the most popular materials that are used for the kitchen floor are tiles, parquet board and linoleum. True, there are exceptions: some owners decide to lay a carpet in the kitchen. I would like to immediately note that this is not a very practical solution, because, as you know, a variety of “incidents” can occur in the kitchen, for example, to spill on the floor fat broth, milk, etc. p. Agree that the carpet is much more difficult to clean than wipe the parquet or linoleum with a damp cloth.
The indisputable leader among the materials for the floor in the kitchen is tiles. It is chosen by the majority of modern housewives primarily because of excellent technical characteristics: it is very solid, hard, fire-resistant, does not conduct electric current, is perfectly cleaned of any pollution. In addition, the tile fits perfectly into the various interior: walls, plastic windows, ceilings and kitchen furniture of almost any design perfectly harmonize with the tile floor.
However, the hardness of the tiles can be called both its plus and minus – if you drop the beaten item on the tile floor, you should not hope that it will remain whole. When liquid gets, the tile becomes very slippery, so you need to move around it very carefully.
The second place belongs to a natural parquet board. Parquet looks great in any room; He is quite practical and, besides, very beautiful. This material has a lot of advantages, but there is one significant minus – poor resistance to moisture, which is especially relevant for the kitchen, where various “unforeseen” situations most often happen, and air humidity there, as a rule, is increased. So, before choosing this type of flooring, you should think carefully.
The third most common is linoleum, which is both natural and artificial. Its cost is less than the parquet and tiles, so many prefer it also based on economic reasons. Today, artificial linoleum is most often used, made of PVC – material known to us as raw materials from which plastic windows and many other designs and objects are produced. He excellently tolerates any aggressive environment, is difficult to ignite and, moreover, does not require any special care.
Naturally, the choice of this or that material depends only on you.
