1. The arrangement of the preliminary screed for the “warm floor” system (aligning the entire floor surface to the level). The requirements for such a design are minimal, roughness and surface uneven to 5mm are permissible. Be sure to take into account this factor (high accuracy) and if you are not confident in your abilities, it is better to entrust the work on the construction of professionals – you will save significantly more than pay them for work.
2. Gluing compensation tape around the perimeter of all rooms. This product is necessary in order to compensate for the inevitable thermal expansion of the warm floor screed, in order to prevent cracks in the concrete structure. For the same purpose, it is necessary to lay the same tape in the doorways for isolating the heating complex of different rooms.
3. Laying waterproofing (ordinary steamer or other material, for example, foamopylene), even filling with bitumen is allowed – the purpose of the waterproofing layer – to prevent moisture from below the warm floor. In this case, foil polypropylene 5 mm thick was used, since I wanted additional, albeit small, thermal insulation, and even such was available .
4. Laying of heat -insulating plates. I would like to note the need to use the solid material of the substrate for this purpose. It is also important that polystyrene foam plates lie on the surface tightly, without bumps. This is due to the fact that the further operation of the floors will be associated with an uneven load on the surface itself and, if the substrate is “played”, then the concrete screed can crack, damaging the tile laid on top, and even, possibly, a heating pipe. For this example, slabs made of foam polybella (foam) with bosses were used to lay the thermal conductive, without any devices.
5. Laying heating pipes, according to the compiled plan. Of the features – in each doorway it is necessary to install thermal compensation rings (from a conventional product) on the pipe to protect it from damage during the thermal expansion of the warm floor.
6. Laying a reinforcing grid from above. It is better to take the product with small cells, this will improve the reinforcing properties of the concrete screed, and also improve the distribution of heat from pipes on the floor surface.
7. Pour the heat -grinding complex with a concrete mixture (final screed). This procedure must be performed in one stage, in order to avoid the formation of seams in the concrete structure. Each seam is a possible crack during the operation of the floor.
