Warm floor for the bathroom

On the floor in the bathroom is most often ceramic tiles or ceron borderline: these are strong, moisture -resistant materials that are conveniently and habitually used in the design of the floor in all kinds of wet rooms like a bathroom. The choice of modern floor tiles is wide – just for every taste and for any style. But there is one problem – such a floor is very cold, it heats up in natural conditions extremely slowly, but it cools almost instantly. It becomes wet legs on this cold “stone” oh how I do not want. Immediately put on slippers is also not the best idea: the capture of these very slippers, while you are standing in the bath with one foot – that is still acrobatics, and there is not too much sense – five minutes is warm, and then in them, wet and already cooled, still walking. Rug-it seems to be a way out, but, firstly, this is still a half-timer, and secondly, it needs to be cleaned often and dry very well, otherwise it will grow mushrooms and this will not be champignons. Make a warm tile and thus add positive to the morning of the working day, a warm floor system will help. To do this, under the selected flooring (most often tiles, porcelain tiles or natural stone), the heating system itself is mounted.

In addition to obvious, purely temperature, advantages, a warm floor helps to fight the fungus and mold in the bathroom, since it dries the air in the eternally wet bathrooms to the desired 50-70% – it becomes not enough for water water in the air, but for breathing in the very most once.

Remember that the floor in the bathroom must be sealed before you install the warm flooring system, regardless of how it will be. Water warm floors

It should be borne in mind that such a warm floor is intended, first of all, for country houses – to connect to the central urban heating is strictly prohibited. However, in a city apartment with individual heating, of course, you can also organize. Since water -based warm floors are less common than electric ones, there are no simple systems for installation: you need to separately compose a project, calculate the heating load – such a work is better than trusting a professional in order not to make irreparable errors.

Water warm floor is flexible pipes connected to the heating system and laid under the floor. The temperature of such a warm floor is adjustable using a thermostat. The plus of water insulation, of course, is in the absence of electricity consumption, the minus is that the floor will have to “raise” about 10 centimeters. In addition, one hundred percent cannot be excluded by the breakthrough of the pipe, and then you will have to open the floor to eliminate the leak. However, with proper styling and using high -quality materials, the probability of such an accident is minimal.

In the bathroom, this type of warm floor is quite permissible, especially since it is in this room that leaks are a chance, even if the pipe bursts, striving for zero – after all, the floors are reliably sealed at the very first stage of repair.

Electric warm floors

The most famous type of warm floor is electric. Its device is quite simple – a heat cable (usually attached by a “snake” a special mesh) and a thermostat. The installation of electric warm floor is no more complicated: in fact, the future floor is simply covered with a cable and poured with a special screed – then you can put the tile. This type of warm floor, by the way, is most often used in bathrooms, kitchens and hallways, that is, where tiles, porcelain tiles or stone are usually on the floor: not every cable according to technical characteristics is suitable for laying under the laminate or any other wooden floor , but for tiles – just right.

Remember that you can’t put anything heavy on such a floor, so you need to calculate in advance where the bathtub will stand, and where is the washing machine to carefully circumvent these areas when laying the cable.

Electric warm floor is also convenient for it that there are a huge number of various thermostats for it, from the simplest, to programmables, which will turn off at the time when you are not at home and heat the floors by the time of your arrival in the bath to the desired temperature.

In addition, this type of warm floor is easier to control locally, without heating the entire heating system.

In general, an electric warm floor is practically a classic of insulation for the bathroom.

Film warm floors

The new and very fashionable system of thermoregulation of the room is a warm floor, warming with infrared rays, that is, radiating pure heat. In principle, this is not a “warm floor” at all – with a film you can lay out at least walls, at least a ceiling, as it pleases. She just has a lot of advantages: firstly, unlike other options, such a warm floor does not require a screed, which means the installation time is reduced, the height of the room is not “eaten”, and in general – it is noticeably easier. However, in the bathroom, still, with a high degree of probability, you will need a screed – after all, most often the floor is tile there. Secondly, such a system is suitable for absolutely any floor coverings: linoleum, tile, laminate, natural stone – you can put anything you want over the film. Electricity, again, is spent less in comparison with an electric warm floor, and thermoregulation systems can be as “smart” as for it.

With the help of the attached instructions, this, like the previous, warm floor, can be installed independently – this is quite simple.

Such a warm floor will be a great solution for the bathroom, no matter what flooring you choose.
