Suspended ceilings, information on suspended ceilings

Types of suspended ceilings

Not so long ago, suspended ceilings appeared in everyday life, gaining trust and recognition among consumers in a short time. Today, such equipment has become one of our apartments, houses, cottages, office premises often installed on the ceilings. Industry offers two types of stretch ceilings. Some of them are made of welded vinyl film PVC. They have seams and at the same time lower cost, while others are seamless, expensive. Both types of coatings are beautiful, original, have their positive and negative characteristics. Do not be afraid, positive characteristics are many times more, from small shortcomings.

PVC ceilings

The ceilings from the vinyl film are produced according to individual sizes, taking into account the configuration of the room. Production is performed by welding of strips of polyvinyl chloride, which have a width of 1 to 5 meters on special TVHT machines. The installation of the canvas begins with the frame of the frame. Next, the canvas is heated with special devices to a temperature of 70 degrees. As a result of heating, the film is softened and stretched to an already mounted profile. The positive qualities of such ceilings are the advantages associated with:

– a beautiful aesthetic look;

– water resistance;

– wide colors, including glossy, matte and satin textures;

– relatively low cost;

– quick and clean installation;

– long service life;

– environmental friendliness.

Compared to the advantages of stretch ceilings from PVC, their shortcomings are very minimal. But still, it is worth noting that the small disadvantages of film ceilings are:

– low frost resistance;

– less strength compared to tissue surfaces;

– manifestation of the joint line, especially on glossy surfaces.

– the impossibility of independent installation without involving specialists.

The advantages of seamless suspended ceilings:

Seamless stretch ceilings are made on the basis of special fabric from polyester treated with polyurethane. The installation of the structure, which provides the readiness of suspended ceilings, includes polyester fabric and fasteners. Suspended ceilings have:

– excellent design;

– lack of preliminary preparation of the ceiling;

– creating a perfectly flat surface, without joints;

– speed during installation;

– durable frame (baguette);

– long operational qualities;

– safety and environmental friendliness, which allows their use in medical institutions;

– non -combustibility;

– soundproofing characteristics;

– the possibility of installation in rooms with increased humidity;

– water resistance, reliably protecting from leaks;

– unpretentiousness in care with wet cleaning;

– a rich assortment of textures and color solutions, the possibilities of applying the image;

– in a clean way to install without dirt and dust;

– the possibility of masking irregularities and other flaws of the ceiling;

– other positive qualities.

The disadvantages of the ceilings of seamless include their great cost.
