In order to better perform work on the wallpaper, it is recommended to pre -paste the walls with paper (better than the old newspaper). It will also help to additionally align the glued surfaces.
The newspaper is glued in various ways, depending on the type of wallpaper that will “lie” from above. Under light wallpaper, paper can be glued over if it is thin. It is better to glue thick paper on a thick paper. And at the same time it is advisable to soften it enough, having twice saturated with a clayer.
Under the relief and cramped wallpaper, the paper is glued to the end, regardless of its thickness.
It is better to glue the paper for wallpapers with a cold clayer. Then the wallpaper glued on top of the paper will hold stronger.
Particular attention should be paid to places from skirting boards and platbands. If there are cracks between them and the wall, they must be close in advance using a solution involved in the gypsum of construction. The paper itself to platbands and skirting boards should be glued to.
Carefully overlay the paper along the upper part of the walls, so that the paper does not peel off under the weight of the wallpaper.
Therefore, before pasting the walls with paper, it is necessary to do preliminary work – apply a thin layer of adhesive composition to the surface of the walls (it is better to use a fabric with the addition of carpentry glue).
