How to teach a child to write works

No one will argue that when a child becomes a schoolboy, not only him, but also his parents are added problems and worries. This, of course, is primarily associated with providing your child with everything necessary for study – all parents of schoolchildren know how much the purchase of goods and clothes for the school is poured in. But this is far from all – sometimes parents are faced with the fact that they have to help their child to do homework. But, of course, this is wrong. The task of the parents is to make the child learn to do homework and, which usually often causes schoolchildren difficulties, write works on your own. So, let’s figure out how parents, without a pedagogical education, can teach their child to write works?

The first thing to learn to all parents without exception is if you want to achieve what you want, then never write an essay for a child – you do not help him, but only take off. So he will never learn to write them himself. Your task is to “push” the child’s thought process a little, make him think in the right direction and express it on paper. Do not scold him for the mistakes that he will certainly make – after all, on mistakes, as you know, they learn.

Naturally, when writing an essay, a student must use literature. But this does not mean at all that you must calmly observe how your child rewrites smart phrases on the topic of works from the works of great literary critics. Explain to him that it is possible and necessary to use such literature, but only as an additional source that should help him form his own thoughts. In addition, usually children who simply rewrite the lines from critical articles do not change phrases, which will allow the teacher to see that the composition is composed of quotes of famous people. Tell the child that you do not need to try to deceive the teacher, because the style of the child is fundamentally different from the style of an adult.

The modern school teaches children to write not only the usual essay-description-our children should be able to state their thoughts in the essay-building, and in the essay-expression, and in the composition-tackling, and in the composition-state, and in the essay-miniature. And this is far from a complete list. Of course, different requirements are imposed on all these types of essays, therefore, to write an essay in accordance with them, the child needs to know them well. And for this, the student must carefully listen to everything that the teacher says about the requirements for the composition, and clarify if something did not understand.

If your child is still difficult to sit down and write a given essay right away, then try to do it like that – talk with him about the topic of essays on a walk, discuss the topic of essays with other family members in the presence of a child – this will allow him to easier to cope with the task. Find out the child’s thoughts, ask how he plans to start an essay and how he will end – so you will understand how much your student is ready to complete the assignment set before him.

As practicing teachers advise, it is better to first write an essay on a draft. You can accustom a child to such a scheme of work on the composition – let him first write a preliminary sketch of future work, then writes all the work on the draft, corrects spelling, punctuation and stylistic errors and shows you. If you think that the topic is not completely disclosed, do not tell the child what phrases specifically need to add – try to bring him to the necessary thoughts by listing what he did not mention in his essay.
