How to learn to cook

Many people believe that there is nothing complicated in the art of cooking and everyone can learn to cook. And this statement cannot be called erroneous – even if you are completely deprived of culinary talent, you can easily master the art of preparing ordinary everyday dishes if you ask such a goal. So how can you learn to cook?

As in any science, studying cooking should begin with the basics. To begin with, you should learn to cook elementary dishes – scrambled eggs, omelets, simple salads, simple side dishes, and only then take on more complex first dishes, meat or fish dishes. After you “fill your hand” on cutting simple products and determining the degree of their readiness, you will be much easier for you to cope with more complex dishes.

In the process of studying the art of cooking, do not neglect kitchen appliances that are able to facilitate your work several times. Blenders and kitchen combines are your faithful assistants, so do not forget about them in the most difficult period for you to master elementary culinary skills.

Being a newcomer in culinary business, when preparing dishes, do not experiment at first and strictly follow recipes from culinary books. Before you take up a particular recipe, carefully read it to the end and check once again if you have all the necessary ingredients and devices for preparing this dish at hand. Do not take up a new recipe for you if you do not have enough time to cook it – in a hurry you are unlikely to get something good, and you just in vain dwell on the products.

If you liked any dishes more than the rest, and you plan to cook them often in the future, try to remember their cooking procedure. If you can cook them without looking into the culinary book, then much less time will take the time for their preparations than before. And only after you have mastered simple dishes and already know how to quickly cut products, you are not scared by the concepts of “blanching” or “pass”, you can proceed to more complex meat and fish dishes.

Having mastered them, start experimenting – do not be afraid to change some ingredients to your taste, make the dish more acute or, for example, sweeter. Real cooks never stop there and constantly try to give a well -known dish a new taste. If you still do not dare to change standard recipes, afraid to spoil the dish, change the taste of the food you prepared with the help of sauces that you can first buy in stores.

A good and experienced hostess, if possible, makes blanks for future dishes, so take an example from her. So, for example, if you have free time, weld the broth and freeze it in the freezer – soon it can become the basis of a rich borsch or soup. Fresh greens, mushrooms, vegetables or fruits, if there is such an opportunity, should also be cut and stored in the refrigerator in special containers – such blanks will help you save time when preparing future dishes.

As you can see, there is nothing difficult to study the foundations of cooking, the main thing is to study in stages, on the principle of “from simple – to complex”. Do not be discouraged if you do not get, for example, the first dishes – as you know, you can’t embrace the immense and, possibly, your culinary horse is baking or cooking meat. So that you do not cook, do this with your soul, and then your dishes will not only satisfy hunger, but will also be able to cause genuine delight even in real gourmets and professional cooks or cooks.
