A massive board will be able to decorate your interior and give it a natural and comfortable shade. The connoisseur of stability and goodness is not easy in the conditions of a modern rapidly changing world. However, there are things living according to other, constant laws. They include a massive board.
The massive board has a special place among various types of wooden floor. In terms of its external characteristics, it is very similar to the parquet board, however, in contrast to it, it is composed of continuous woody layer, and not from three -layer, where only the upper layer has value.
Therefore, the floor from a massive board will withstand a much larger amount of grinding. With a piece parquet, a massive board unites the general structure, because the parquet is also solid in the entire depth, but the size of the booth from the array is much higher than the size of the parquet: the width of this board is approximately 12-15 cm, and it reaches up to 3 m in length up to 3 m.
The massive board of the floor is made from both deciduous and coniferous woods. Since ancient times, floors from oak have been known, which have been famous for their high indicators of strength and wear resistance. Among deciduous rocks, oak, successful competition is Siberian larch, which has a high level of hardness, resistance to insects, moisture resistance and, most importantly, its cost is relatively not high.
Among the foreign breeds used for a massive board, such breeds as a tiger tree, lapacho, rosewood, Yatoba, Tick, Zebrano, Weng are especially popular. The most common foreign breed is Merbau. However, such exotic species are much more expensive than local.
But if you want to create a floor of unusual colors: purple, yellow, pink, it is better to overpay for imports than to buy a widespread tinted breed (such as oak, for example), because after polishing work, external beauty will disappear. Among the expensive are not only exotic foreign breeds, but also some of the European ones: the floor of the pear array will cost expensive, since the trunk of this tree is quite thin, and the period of growth of pears is quite long.
The average service life of a massive board is from 100 to 120 years. As for the coniferous breed, the service life can be significantly lower, due to the features of the mechanical properties of wood, its increased hardness and resistance to microclimatic changes in the room.
In the room, the floor of which is experiencing an increased load (for example, the corridor and the hallway), it is best to use the boards of harder rocks – oak, ash, maple, most exotic rocks are also suitable. For the bedroom, you can use any absolutely breed of wood.
