To maintain heat in the house, it is not enough to insulate the windows and use the multi -chamber profile. If an incorrectly selected double -glazed window is installed, warm air will go through it as easily as through the cracks in the dry wooden frames. How to choose a double -glazed window so that it retains a comfortable temperature, especially with a large glazing area.
For the design of energy -saving houses, engineers propose to use triple glass packets. Between the glasses, the space is filled with inert gas (crypton or argon) – this allows you to prevent a loss of 50% heat. The greater the distance between the glasses inside the double -glazed window, the better it performs its functions. For even greater protection, the double -glazed window is mounted in the so -called deep frames, which tightly cover the edges of the internal glasses.
Another type of warm glass packet is a product with a low emission coating. It reflects thermal radiation, thereby reducing heat loss in the cold season. Apply it throughout the area of glasses, inside and out. If you are facing the choice of only one side of the double -glazed window, then give preference to the coating on the inner glass. This will reduce condensate, the appearance of which is caused by the temperature difference between the room and the street. The coating is not visible with the naked eye, however, it reduces the light of the glass. To prevent this from happening, it should be simultaneously with low emission processing to put the “thermal mirror” membrane. In some plants, such as, this equipment is provided by default and allows you to skip up to 90% of sunlight. The membrane is also good in that its use allows by 25% to reduce the mass of the glass -glazed window, which means that it glaze large areas, for example, in greenhouses, winter gardens and solariums.
Warm double -glazed window may have an option “Warm edge”. Using a distance frame with a low level of thermal conductivity, the temperature rises in the edge of the double -glazed window. The frame is a thin steel foil, inside which is a layer of polypropylene and absorbent. To lay such a frame into an existing window, you need to disassemble the double -glazed window, insert the structure into it, connect and fill it with inert gas again.
The use of warm double -glazed windows today is the only way to save a warm house in the conditions of the Russian North and Siberia.
