Terrace board – what it is?

Where wooden floors cannot be laid due to high humidity, a terrace board comes to the rescue, the most moisture -resistant flooring of wood from wood.

Wooden floors are an indicator of the good taste of the owner of the house, his prosperity. In terms of status, they are always an order of magnitude higher than such a beautiful, but artificial gender as a laminate. There are several types: massive board, parquet board, piece parquet. With the proper approach to production, they all are of good quality and reliability. But at the same time, all of them have one drawback – they are “afraid” of humidity and water in principle. In other words, with too dry or too wet air, the wooden floor begins to deform. Glits appear between the boards and the dies, or, on the contrary, the floor “bends”. With an open prolonged effect on the wooden floor of water, it can also be deformed. All these are the consequences of the destructive effect of water on wood. Therefore, a massive board and piece parquet cannot be laid, for example, in a bathroom or bath, on an open terrace. For such premises there is a special type of floor – a terrace board.

The terrace board is made of wood of the most durable exotic rocks, from which neither wooden windows, nor doors, nor furniture are produced, because it is too incomplete to process due to its extremely high density.

What unique properties does a terrace board have? Firstly, it has the highest density and hardness. It is very difficult to damage mechanically during operation. A lot of difficulties are associated with the same when processing it, and it is worth noting that the processing largely determines the high cost of this board. Secondly, exotic varieties of wood, again, due to natural causes, are strongly saturated with oily substances. This ensures almost the absolute stability of wood to the destructive effect of water. Moreover, individual breeds, constantly being in the water, acquire an even greater density and hardness. But the terrace board is not only moisture -resistant – it is resistant to fungi, mold, exposure to microorganisms and bugs. In other words, she is not afraid of practically nothing. She has stability even to chemicals.

Thus, the terrace board has a lot of advantages that allow it to successfully use it in rooms with the most unfavorable conditions for wood, moreover, it can be used even in open spaces and at the same time withstands serious temperature changes.

But there is another extremely important point – the terrace board has the highest aesthetic data. All its representatives are extremely expressive, even bright coloring. All colors – saturated, juicy and – which is important – do not fade, do not fade and do not darken over time. As for the specific species of wood, the most common in the manufacture of such a board, these are Ipe, Kumaru, Tick Burmansky, Puininkado, Balau, Bankira, Luggage. As a rule, all these breeds have wood of warm tones: reddish, golden, chocolate. In addition to the shade itself, the texture is interesting – with an unusual pattern, pronounced, memorable.

It is worth noting a product such as an artificial terrace board. It is made of wood-polymer composite. And in terms of technical characteristics, somewhere even exceeds a board made of natural wood, except, of course, one-the most natural. An artificial product is always only an artificial product.

The terrace board of natural wood has all the best qualities that make its use in residential premises as comfortable and safe for you and your loved ones.
