Specialists began to actively choose the digital nomad lifestyle for three reasons.
Geographical independence. One of the key factors is the ability to travel and freely change your place of residence. Many companies offer remote work. This allows employees to have stable employment, income and not worry that it will be difficult to find a job in another country.
According to a survey by Nomads.com: 40% of digital nomads are employed full-time, 18% work as freelancers, 17% are startup or business owners.
Development of services for remote process management. During the pandemic, many companies were forced to transfer employees to a remote work format. As a result, remote work management has developed so much that now some specialists can comfortably perform their tasks from any country.
Digitalization of the market. According to a study by HeadHunter and MTS Link, in 2023, the number of vacancies with remote work in Russia increased to 6.7%, exceeding the 2021 record of 5.7%. Remote work is now popular not only among employees, but also among employers. Companies are more willing to provide this opportunity – and this also stimulates the development of digital nomadism.
