Wet or ventilated facade?

April 17, 2013.

For insulation of buildings, a person came up with many ways. One of the most popular today is plaster and ventilated structures. Each of these methods has its own characteristics, pros and cons of. We will tell you more about it.

The plaster is also called a “wet” method of insulation, since it perfectly removes moisture, which prevents the accumulation of condensate, while it does not require additional processing with moisture -proof means. The walls will not be prone to fungus or mold. The process of plastering is inexpensive and simple, as well as the reconstruction of the outer part of the building. Materials that are used to create a “wet” facade are light and do not require additional strengthening. Modern mixtures are resistant to atmospheric influences and solar radiation.

Of the minuses of plastering, the following can be noted. Polis plaster accumulates dirt and dust, lends itself to harmful substances that are contained in precipitation and air. All this leads to the fact that a periodically layer of plaster should be updated or replaced.

Another method of insulation is the use of hinged structures with air circulation. Such designs can last more than 50 years, and installation is possible at any time of the year. Of their advantages, we can distinguish economical operation, the ability to simply wash from pollution, the lack of the “greenhouse” effect (the air layer removes atmospheric and internal moisture). In addition, this method allows you to easily and without special costs to level the wall, and such a facade will pay off on average in five years, while the dirt will not accumulate on it, the color remains bright, and the surface will be durable.

Summing up, we can say that the “wet” decoration during installation is cheaper, but will require large investments in the future, which is not required by more expensive hanging ventilation facades. Plasting is used to decorate country houses and cottages, and hinged systems for insulation of administrative buildings, shopping and entertainment complexes.
