How to prepare for exams

It will not be an exaggeration to say that almost all future graduates of schools, applicants and university students are not always correctly preparing for exams. It would seem that there is nothing complicated in this matter – you just need to take textbooks and notes and repeat the material passed. But some do not know how to plan their time correctly and arrange training, at best, the day before the exam. And other young people, on the contrary, try to make almost the entire volume of the material almost by heart. Both that and the other are wrong, and often such preparation leads to a low examination assessment. But how to prepare for the exam correctly?

Many schoolchildren and students will be easier to prepare for the exam if they first determine their level of training on this subject. How can this be done? Take three hands of different colors and, slowly, read all the issues of examination tickets. Highlight the handle of the same color the questions that you have an answer even now, and in the knowledge of which you are sure. Mark the questions with a pen of a different color, the answers to which you know, but not in full, and which only you need to repeat. And finally, the third color handle, mark all the remaining questions, the answers to which you do not know at all. And now really evaluate the state of things and the ratio that you received. And only after that it will become clear to you how much time will it take for preparation and what materials need only repetition, and which are careful study.

At first, while you, as they say, have a fresh head, take up the fact that you know bad or not at all – most likely, this will take the main amount of time allotted for preparing. Well, only then you can repeat the material that was well studied by you earlier, and which you remember.

Try to decide who you are – “lark” or “owl” – this will help you rationally use the time.

Starting the preparation, set yourself clear tasks, that is, specifically outline those sections of the textbook or page pages that you repeat today. If you, sitting down at the table, plan to “just work out a little”, then, most likely, the result of your work will be minimal.

Repeating the passed or studying something new, try to fix the main points of the material on paper – these can be schemes, graphs or tables. In the exam, such a peculiar plan of your answer will certainly arise in your head and will help you faster to navigate in the material and answer correctly and confidently.

As a rule, everyone who has to survive the exam has several very difficult questions for him soon. Train to answer them at home – let your relatives or friends listen to your complete and detailed answer. Such training will allow you to feel more confident.

In preparation for the exam, it is no less important how your workplace is equipped. Remove from the table all the things that are currently unnecessary that will prevent you from focusing on your studies. Leave on it only what is necessary – textbooks, notebooks, manuals or graphic materials. If you use a computer in the preparation process, do not be distracted by correspondence with friends or listening to musical innovations.

Of course, when preparing, even for the most difficult exam, you cannot spend at a table for several hours in a row. To achieve the desired and not harm your health, alternate your mental work and rest – for example, 40 minutes you study the material, rest for 10 minutes rest. It will be better if at this time you are a little walk around the room – you can pour flowers, do charging or even wash the dishes.
