One of the main competitive advantages of geotechnical polymers in construction is their magnificent combination with each other, up to a complete interchangeability. An example of such an interaction of two different materials – polymer nets and gratings – the construction of an artificial reservoir. It doesn’t matter whether the pool is on a personal personal plot or a drinking water reservoir for the needs of the city or village – the technology is quite similar, the difference in the volume of work.
First, a geotextile layer is laid on the bottom of the dug pits. If the soils are stable, the geotextiles of brands 150 or 200 are usually used. With so -prone soil, it is better to use a cloth of greater density, for example, geotextiles 300. A sand pillow is placed on a polymer layer. The canvas serves to prevent mixing of sand and maternal soil. If you do not lay it, the sand is very quickly assimilated with the soil and lose its useful qualities. A waterproof layer of geomembrane is laid on a sand pillow – a waterproof synthetic material based on polyethylene. Geomembran also reinforce the use of an additional layer of the geotechnical canvas.
It remains only to strengthen the shores, and you can type water. It is no secret that during the spring flood the level of groundwater rises significantly. Accordingly, following the principle of communicating blood vessels, the water level in the reservoir rises. If the shores are not strengthened, there is a risk of soil erosion. To prevent such misfortune, the shores are strengthened with a soil geoster or geogrid. In principle, these are related materials that can successfully replace each other. Their manufacturing technologies are also similar. No wonder the manufacturers of the geoster are often produced and the geogrid. The production of the volumetric design of the lattice technologically consists of several stages. At first, polyethylene tapes are made of the necessary size, then they join each other, forming different shapes and sizes of the cell. The last stage, which completes production – the gearshot is connected into a single whole by welding the places of contact of ultrasound or thermal welding.
A geosquet can also cope with sufficiently stable soils, and if the soil is clay, poorly tolerating the effects of water due to small abilities to drainage, it is better to apply a voluminous geoga. To prevent mixing with the initial clay layer of amplifying structures, a layer of textiles is laid under the grille, preventing the penetration of the amplification material into maternal soil. The gears laid above are filled, for example, rubble. Another layer is placed on top, and on it – a sod with a grassy coating or clean sand.
The shores reinforced with geomaterials do not threaten to slide into a reservoir under the influence of natural factors: wind or changes in water level. In such a pond, with equal success, you can dilute fish and arrange landscape delights, and store drinking water reserves. In landscape design, artificial islands often have in such water bodies. It is impossible to build a fairly durable unleashed decay under the influence of water without the use of polymeric materials. Here the same canvas, mesh and grate are used, and, often, also gabions. The strength and a long service life are guaranteed to use polymer materials, the minimum service life of which is not limited to half a century.
